Pozdniakov RUS gets the final call reversed with slow-motion. What would have been a 14-14 score against Alexei Frossine RUS becomes 15-13, with Pozdniakov advancing to the final.

Team USA
Ivan Lee was knocked out by 10th seed Rares Dumitrescu 15-13 in the 64. James Williams USA lost to Yaojiang Huang CHN 15-10 in the 64.
Timothy Morehouse USA UPSET 6th seed Nicolas Limbach 15-13 in the 64. Unfortunately he succumbed to Woo Young Won KOR 15-14 in the 32. The slow-motion replay of the final action was the determining factor for the final touch, which went to the Korean fencer.
Keeth Smart USA, seeded 22nd, elimiinated Oleg Sturbabin UKR 15-11 in the 64, and then 11th seed Nicolas Lopez FRA 15-13. Having fought up to the 16, he fenced Woo Young Won KOR and lost 15-14.
Quarter-finals are shaping up...
Stanislav Pozdniakov RUS vs Dmitri Lapkes BLR, wins 15-12, and enters the semi-finals.
Alexei Frossine RUS beats Dennis Bauer GER 15-12 and enters the semi-finals against Pozdniakov.
Woo Young Won KOR beats Mateusz Gorski POL 15-11 and enters the semi-finals.
Zsolt Nemcsik HUN beats Boris Sanson FRA 15-8 and enters the semi finals against Won of Korea.

We've reached the round of 64. The typical stand-outs are standing out, but Team USA had some rough moments and is in the lower half of the bracket, fencing upwards.
Aldo Montano ITA is matched against Nikolay Kovalev; Luigi Tarantino ITA against Feng Chen of CHINA, who is now training under Tarantino's old national coach; Stanislav Pozdniakov RUS is 9th seed, fencing Fedor Nemirovitch BLR.
Two UK fencers are in the mix, Chris Buxton and Alexander O'Connell, seeded 54th and 52nd respectively.
USA
Keeth Smart USA went undefeated in pools, notably beating Oleg Shturbabin UKR 5-4, while Timothy Morehouse dropped bouts to Luigi Samele ITA and Walbert Mendoza PHI.
Ivan Lee USA, dropping bouts in the pools to Mohamed Rebai TUN and Balazs Lontay HUN, found himself fencing in the earliest tableaus. Beating Masashi Nagara (JPN) in a dominating bout where he scored 7 unanswered touches in 14 seconds, finishing 15-5.
James Williams USA, had trouble in pools with Gianpiero Pastore ITA and Alexei Frossine RUS, and also fenced in the early DEs. In the 96 he defeated Peyman Fakhridehaghi IRAN, 15-7 in 38 seconds of fencing.
In the round of 64, Keeth Smart USA is again facing Oleg Shturbabin UKR, a powerful fencer; Timothy Morehouse USA faces 6th seed Nicolas Limbach (GER); Ivan Lee faces Rares Dumitrescu ROM; James Williams faces Yaojiang Huang CHN.
